COMMUNICATION OF ANTS...

The ants go to war and steal other ant colonies, even of the same type. Being a social insect, must communicate with other members of their colony ants, to warn of danger or indicate the location of a reserve alimentos.Las ants build nests in leaves or plants will give a hit with your gasters (tail ant) to the outer wall of the nest to indicate a hazard or make it known to his fellow colony have discovered a food reserve. Said forward stroke vibrations along the nest. Some ants squeak or buzz rubbing parts of their bodies, indicating a warning of danger or a request for help to transport food.

Ants also communicate by scent. They have glands on different parts of the body, which release a chemical called pheromone. The type of message you want to communicate or Food- -Danger determine the gland used to release the pheromone. They can use pheromones to leave a trail that will lead to other colony to a newly discovered food reserve.

With the antenna, the ants smell. After determining whether they are from the same colony, they may greet a strange ritual that includes ants stand facing each other, clasping mouths. Then, an ant regurgitates a drop of liquid at the mouth of the other.

  1. I had no idea that ants are so complex and interesting, I can say that ants work as a team and not for themselves and they are coordinated, and as they say that ants are one of the strongest animals.
